Mirjam Boeschen Hospers
My Journey from recovery to Wildlife Photography and Film
After a long period of living with Long Covid, I discovered photography at a moment when everything around me had slowed. What started as a new way to focus my energy grew into a deep passion. Just as I was recovered, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. An intense and life-changing experience that shaped me not only as a person, but also as a creator. It taught me to observe with care, to work with patience, and to celebrate life in all its vulnerability and strength.
Photography and film became my healing environment, and my way of telling stories; about wildlife, about moments, about presence. What once began as a hobby grew into work I now share with thousands of people and through which I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with inspiring partners.
Wide exposure
I’m grateful that my work is powered by Canon Nederland. My work reaches a wide audience and has been featured on national television by NOS, Nieuwsuur, Omroep GLD, and BuitengewoonGLD. I have more than 30.000 followers on my instagram. My work is featured by organizations such as Natuurmonumenten, and my work is part of the art collection at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek cancer hospital.
Cant wait to work with you too! Interested in working together, creating an healing environment, commissioning a project, licensing images, or ordering wildlife calendars? I’d love to hear your ideas!
